Oskaloosa, IA (June 26, 2010) -  Jeremy Payne of Springfield, MO led every lap enroute to his first win of the 2010 season for the MARS DIRTcar Series and his seventh career series win.  Only one caution slowed the race action on lap seventeen of the thirty lap feature.

Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips started fifth and raced his way up to second on the big half mile at Southern Iowa Speedway.

Chad Simpson of Mt. Vernon, IA started third on the grid and raced in that spot for most of the race.  Al Purkey of Coffeyville, KS started fourth and flirted with a top 3 finish but fell short and finished fourth.

Jason Utter of Columbus Junction, IA started seventh and worked his way into the top 5 on the double file restart on lap 17.

Coming into the night MARS DIRTcar Series point leader Eric Turner of Springfield, MO had problems in his heat race as he got into the marbles and slip up into the turn one wall.  With heavy right side damage, Turner and drivers and crews from several other race teams pitched into to help Turner get his car ready for the feature.  Turner would have to use a provisional and start twenty first for the feature event, where he finished 14th.
